CBSO chief to address conference

The chief executive of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Stephen Maddock will be among the speakers at a major charity sector gathering in Birmingham.

Financial and professional services firm Smith & Williamson is holding its annual charity conference on March 5.

The firm is a platinum sponsor of the CBSO, which is now in its centenary year and a registered charity.

The conference will be chaired by Adrian Taylor, partner at Smith & Williamson Investment Management – charities, in the firm’s Birmingham office.

“The aim is to provide a forum for us to meet with trustees and managers to discuss and share opinion on the complex backdrop for charities,” says Mr Taylor.
