Business club focus on plastic

The University of Birmingham Business Club's next breakfast briefing will cover the challenges associated with plastic pollution and plastics recycling.

The free event on June 18 is taking place at Birmingham Research Park, Vincent Drive, from 7.30am.

Speakers include Professor Stefan Krause, who is professor of ecohydrology and biogeochemistry at the University of Birmingham. He will highlight research into plastic pollution undertaken through the 100 Plastic Rivers Project.

Dr Sally Beken, a Knowledge Transfer Manager at The Knowledge Transfer Network,will be talking about the UK Government's' environmental plan.

Representatives from many of the University of Birmingham's business support projects will also be represented.
