Launch event for low carbon programme

Aston University's Low Carbon SMEs Programme will be launched for the Black Country at an event on March 14.

The University of Wolverhampton's Business Solutions Centre at Wolverhampton Science Park, Glaister Drive, will host the launch from 9am to 12 noon.

The programme, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, provides free support to small and medium-sized businesses to help them reduce energy costs and carbon footprint and improve resource efficiency.

Among those attending will be the Mayor Wolverhampton, Councillor Phil Page and HS2 supply chain manage Robert Slater, who will speak on sustainable supply chains.

There will be opportunities to apply for capital grants of up to £12,250 and sign up to a free energy efficiency survey.
