Business Expo in Stafford
A leading Stafford businessman says next month’s Staffordshire Business Expo is ‘a massive boost’ for the business community, throughout both the town and the county.
Paul Walters is encouraging as many companies and organisations as possible to support, and with it benefit from, the event.
The expo, supported by the local chamber of commerce, takes place at the Tillington Hall Hotel, Eccleshall Road, Stafford, on Thursday, March 21, from 10am to 3pm. Admission for visitors to the event is free, and exhibition stands are still available for those local businesses keen to boost their standing in the business community.
As well as the opportunity to exhibit – showcasing services and products – there is also the chance to network, trade and make new connections.
The expo will also offer specialist seminars throughout the day, identifying strategies for business growth and improvement.
Mr Walters, the managing director of Stafford Industrial Supplies and the deputy president of Stafford Chamber of Commerce, believes the expo provides local business with a great opportunity.
“I’m absolutely delighted this event is taking place; it’s at a great venue and it’s a wonderful opportunity for the local business community to meet, mingle, network, support each other, and much more.
“I’ve been proud to be a part of the business community in Stafford for 30 years, and I think hosting an Expo like this in our town is a wonderful opportunity for us all. It’s the first time such an event has been held in the town, and such has been the interest we’ve already got the next one pencilled in for October.
“I’m also delighted with the response we’ve had from the local authorities, who’ve booked stands at the Expo, and expressed themselves very enthusiastic to engage with the business community," he said.
The Staffordshire Business Expo is being organised with Stafford Chamber of Commerce by Sheila Smith, who has organised successful events such as this in Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire, with more being planned in other parts of the country.
She is delighted to be coming to Stafford and said: “Tillington Hall Hotel is a lovely venue and very easy to get to off junction 14 of the M6. It has fantastic facilities, the team there have been so helpful and enthusiastic since we first mooted the idea, and that makes it even more exciting for me..
“It’s also a great showcase for an excellent and very popular Stafford hotel, I am looking forward to welcoming people to the event from all over the county and beyond – all coming along to see a busy, thriving business community this town can be proud of.”
