It is taking place on May 18 from 7.30pm at the University of Birmingham Sport and Fitness Centre, Edgbaston.

The event and its organisers will identify the potential scale and impact of the Westfield Health British Transplant Games on the city of Birmingham, whilst illustrating how chamber members can learn more about organ donation and help in the success of the Games.

More than 1,0000 transplant athletes will descend on Birmingham this summer when the annual Games come to the city between August 2 and 5.

University of Birmingham, Birmingham City Council, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity and Sport Birmingham have also all partnered with the Games in a bid to make Birmingham 2018 the best Transplant Games to date.

The Games will take place largely across University of Birmingham and Alexander Stadium.

Paul Faulkner, chief executive at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the British Transplant Games – and to be welcoming Sally for what should be a fascinating speaker breakfast."
