Waste management event in Wolverhampton

The Wolverhampton-based Environmental Technologies and Resource Efficiency Support Service is holding a free event in the city on March 1.

Waste Management Solutions – Right Waste Right Place is being staged by EnTRESS in the TechnologyCentre at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park from 7.45am to 12 noon.

The technology showcase, supported by the Environment Agency, will explore best practice and innovation within the waste management industry, as well as the impact of waste crime and businesses duty of care.

It will bring together the private, public and academic sectors and provide guidance to both businesses and waste management professionals to help the Black Country to become a low carbon economy.

There will be keynote speakers from the Environment Agency, Rolls-Royce and the University of Wolverhampton along with local SMEs who are in receipt of EnTRESS support promoting their innovative solutions to waste management.

The EnTRESS team will be on hand to discuss how the project can support firms in developing and implementing environmental technology and increasing productivity through more efficient use of resources.

There will also be an opportunity to take a tour of the brand new £10.1m three-storey Science, Technology and Prototyping Centre at the end of the event.
