The newly-refurbished 67-bedroom hotel recently obtained a four-star rating and two AA rosettes.

The Grade II listed Victorian manor underwent a five-year refurbishment costing £2.9million.

Scott Bernard, director at The Mount, said: “It’s been an incredible project over the last five years and I would like to thanks the whole of the team at The Mount Hotel, and General Manager Neil Wyatt, for all their dedication and hard work. The investment and effort put in has really paid off, and nowhere is this more evident than in the new industry accreditations and wonderful customer feedback we’ve received.

He said that being a chamber member had enabled The Mount to raise its profile throughout the region and increase its exposure to the local business community.

"We have been able to host a number of chamber events over the years, which has enabled us to showcase the wonderful facilities that we have here at the hotel to local business professionals," added Mr Wyatt.
