There are 12 award categories this year with the deadline June 30.

An awards writing workshop will be taking place on June 8 and will be led by Peter Starr, director of Chilli Pepper Development.

He has worked in blue chip organisations for 15 years and now works with businesses to maximise all of their sales and marketing opportunities.

"Applying for professional awards is a great way to ensure that your business is receiving the recognition that it deserves. The publicity, not forgetting the feel good factor, an award brings to an organisation and their staff is well worth the effort of writing an entry. In essence, this informative workshop will help you to understand what to write and how to make your entry stand out from the crowd," he said.

The workshop aims to provide essential tips and coaching in preparing entries.

The shortlist for each category will be announced in September and winners will be announced at the awards dinner on November 17 at Wolverhampton Racecourse.

The awards are open to both members and non-members.
