Enville Honey Gin uses the same honey that Enville Brewery utilises in its famous Enville Ale.

Brewery manager Helen Briggs said that a lot of test tastings had taken place to ensure that the recipe was just right.

The 40 per cent gin is being produced externally for the brewery, which has been going for nearly 30 years.

Enville Honey Gin, which comes in 70cl bottles and retails for £26, is available through the online shop at http://www.envilleales.com or by calling 01384 873728 to arrange collection from the brewery in Hollies Lane.

Helen said: “We hope that our new gin, which uses the honey featured in Enville Ale, will help to lift everyone’s spirits at the start of this new year.

“When the pandemic is over we hope that pubs, including the Cat Inn in Enville, which showcases our beers, will be taking our new gin as well.

“We also hope to supply it to local independent shops as well.”
