Mayur Restaurant, located in West Bromwich, is seeking to extend its first floor and provide toilet facilities.

Ownership of the High Street restaurant has recently changed hands.

A planning application was submitted to Sandwell Council last month, with a decision still yet to be made.

A planning report said: "The applicant has only recently become the owner of the premises and its relevant use.

"Despite the recent difficult times, he remains determined to succeed in his ventures.

"He lists his major priority to be able to offer his premises for arranged functions and gatherings, when allowed, of like minded persons.

"The proposal is to bring the whole of the first floor level unto this use and of more importance to provide toilet facilities all on the same level."

Sandwell Council will make a decision on the plans at a future date.
