Success is not to be sneezed at

A switch to making sneeze screens and screen guards has proved a huge success for a business.

Wrights Plastics in West Bromwich has now made more than 50,000 acrylic screens and guards since March when the coronavirus pandemic hit the UK.

The company in Brandon Way work directly for clients or provided original equipment manufacturing services for agencies.

Its hygiene screens can now be found in shops, supermarkets, banks, warehouses and distribution centres and offices across the country.

Group commercial director Andy Watkins said: “The screens have proved vital and enabled us to keep almost all our staff working full time. We have supplied them to the majority of the banks in the UK.”

Wrights, which employs about 70, offers bespoke design and manufacturing services for clients, developing products to suit their individual requirements.

Projects have ranged from single one-off jobs to large multi-site projects that has made use of our established collation, warehousing and distribution services.

One of the largest projects saw the company make and deliver more than 1,500 screens for the Arcadia shops group.
