Founded in 1961, the addition of Dobbs Logistics Ltd to the Pallet-Track network brings its membership close to 100 shareholders able to dispatch palletised freight across the UK.

Based in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, Dobbs Logistics will cover the majority of the TN postcode area, which includes large swathes of Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

Dobbs, which also offers UK and European distribution and storage, joins Pallet-Track from TPN.

Managing Director, Stephen Morgan, said: “We had a good relationship with TPN for 17 years, but our continued business development required a step change to meet the needs of our diverse range of clients. I have been aware of Pallet-Track from its very inception when it was looking for new members to build the network. Then it was a good proposition, but it was the wrong time.

“Now, the time is right to make the move and build upon Pallet-Track’s collaborative approach which is very much in line with our needs and those of the sector as a whole.

“With a huge emphasis on quality the business speaks the same language as us and we have the ability to regularly sit down with our peers to focus on long-term strategy across the south-east.”

Nigel Parkes, founder and managing director of Pallet-Track, added: “We believe in investing in our members and progressing together with shared ideas and the kind of commitment to quality rather than quantity and values rather than volumes. Dobbs shares that vision and we are delighted to be working with them.”
