Starbucks drive thru to open in Cannock

A new Starbucks drive thru was set to open in Cannock today.

The store on Watling Street will be operated by Starbucks franchisee EG Group and will be the first in the area, creating 10 jobs.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was set to take place at 10am, attended by the store’s charity partner, Catherine Care.

Catherine Care is an organisation that provides support for adults with learning difficulties and mental health needs in the South Staffordshire.

The first 25 customers to visit the new store will receive gift bags which will have a reusable cup, a chocolate gold coin and sample of the new Starbucks Blonde Roast.

The store team will also be distributing vouchers for a free tall handcrafted beverage to welcome new customers.

Throughout the day, the store will host a Starbucks Aroma Lab where customers will have the opportunity to learn about how the different spice and aroma pairings which influence the flavours in our Starbucks Coffee.

Featuring free Wi-Fi and seating both inside and out, the new store invites customers to enjoy their coffee in the café or whilst on the go using the drive thru lane.

Mohammed Tayab, head of Starbucks at EG Group, said: “The store team and I are so excited to open the first Starbucks store here in Cannock.

"We look forward to becoming part of the local community and creating a space where local residents, families and commuters can come together over a delicious cup of coffee.”

The Starbucks store will be open from 6am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm on Saturday, and 8am to 8pm on Sunday.
