At least 45 jobs are being created by discount supermarket chain Aldi at its stores across Staffordshire.

Store assistants are being recruited by Aldi at its outlets across Burntwood, Brownhills, Cannock, Rugeley, Lichfield and Tamworth.

The recruitment drive includes an open day at the Holiday Inn Express, in Birmingham Road, Lichfield, tomorrow from 10.30am until 4pm.

It comes as the new store in Burntwood is due to be completed by November.

Bosses are looking to bring in at least 45 new staff across its outlets in the area.

Aldi spokeman Nick Bevan said: "The positions will be open for a number of stores including Aldi's new store in Burntwood.

"Key responsibilities for successful candidates include accurate and efficient till operation, and stock management and merchandising. Full training will be provided over a 12-week period, and roles are available from 15 hours a week."
