One man crime spree jailed for assaulting employees whilst shoplifting across Walsall
A one man Walsall crime wave has been jailed after attacking security guards during a two-month shoplifting spree.

Levi Robertson, 27, smashed bottles of whisky over one Tesco security guard's head and threatened to stab an ASDA employee who tried to stop him stealing a rucksack.
In May and June Robertson, of Walsall Road, Wednesbury, would repeatedly steal alcohol, baby formula, clothes, Yankee candles and items to order from Tesco, Asda and Co-ops in Walsall and Willenhall.
Robertson pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm, two counts of assault and eight counts of shoplifting at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday (Monday)

Prosecuting, Robert Cowley said: "On June 9 you were spotted picking up a rucksack from ASDA. When you attempted to leave the store an employee challenged the defendant. They both began tussling over the bag, and then the defendant made noises as if he was going to spit in the face of the employee as well as calling him a 'fat ****' and then threatened to stab him. He then fled the shop.
"The most serious assault was in Tesco, Littleton Street, he entered the shop and stole meat and supplements leaving by a fire exit. Later that day he returned and picked up bottles of whisky and tried to flee during the fire exit but a security guard has ran to cut him off. The defendant hits him over the head several times with a whisky bottle.
