'We're the best butchers in the Midlands and the proof is in the serving' - Staff at Essington Farm celebrate prestigious award
Delighted staff at Essington Farm near Wolverhampton have been praised for serving up an excellent customer welcome at a prestigious award ceremony.
Essington Farm won the best large butchery trophy at the inaugural National Craft Butchers' British Butchery Awards after being visited by a mystery shopper who was thrilled with the counter service and the quality of the meat on display.
Butchery apprentice Tom Buxton, aged 25, of Coven, says: "We've won the award for large butchery for the Midlands and we're pretty proud really.
"It's from the National Craft Butchery and they judge butcher shops around the country in the different categories and then they judge the best butcher shop at the categories.
"We served a mystery shopper. We don't know when that was and they judge the customer service and the quality of the meat and the other food.
