Two arrests after shots fired at Birmingham property
Two people are in custody after shots were fired at a property in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police were called to the scene of School Road, Birmingham, at around 1.30am on Friday morning to reports of shots being fired in the area.
Officers from the force's Major Crime Unit have launched an investigation into the incident, and this morning arrested a man, aged 50, and a woman, 23, in connection with the incident.
Both remain in custody and will be questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Enquiries are still being carried out with detectives reviewing CCTV footage from around the area at the time of the incident.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We know that incidents like this can be alarming, and our officers will remain in the area today to offer reassurance - please speak to them if you have any concerns.
"Anyone with information about the incident should contact us by 101 quoting crime reference 20/280402/25."
Officers remain at the scene with a cordon in place while the investigation continues.
