The youngster attended Ingram Academy in Willenhall before going to Lichfield Musical Youth Theatre, BOA Academy and eventually Brighton Academy where she studied for three years in drama.

Although she said performing on the West End Stage in the production was a highlight, she is most looking forward to 'coming home' to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre where she watched so many shows growing up.

Sophie, who will perform in the lead role of Raven in a matinee performance at Wolverhampton in front of family and friends said: "This is all I have ever wanted to do and I have to pinch myself to make sure it is true.

"When I watched countless shows at The Grand when I was young and wished I was on the stage, I didn't necessarily think it would happen.

"It is the culmination of a lot of hard work and support from my family and friends. My career has taken me away from them for periods including this UK tour and two years working on cruise ships around the world so to be able to come home will be really special."

"Bat out of Hell is a wonderful musical in terms of the storyline and the music because I have always loved Meatloaf's songs as they are so dramatic and well known having been on the radio and television for so many years.

"I have had the chance to play Raven the lead role and perform in the ensemble and it has been a great run, my first professional tour but obviously coming back to Wolverhampton will be special."

Sophie Rose said when the tour finishes, her next ambition will be to get a permanent role on the West End Stage.

You can catche her in Bat Out of Hell - The Musical from July 14-19 with tickets available now.
