Railway passenger suffers injuries to his face in 'vicious' attack at Stourbridge Junction train station

A railway passenger suffered injuries to his head and chest when he was attacked at Stourbridge Junction Railway Station.

Officers have released images of two other men suspected of being involved in the unprovoked assault which happened on at around 20.35pm on February 28 at Stourbridge Junction Railway Station.

British Transport Police said the  58-year-old victim was waiting for a train home when he was surrounded by a group of males and subject to a "vicious unprovoked assault".  

A number of passengers alighting a training pulling up at the station intervened and stopped the attack and the group of men then fled on foot. The injured man made his way home before later going to hospital for treatment to his face, head and chest.

The force said it fortunately the victim's condition was not life-threatening or life-changing.

 The investigating team believe the males in the images could have information that may assist their inquiries. Anyone who recognises them or witnesses should contact the officers by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting incident reference number 2500024972.
