The young woman was giving evidence at Wolverhampton Crown Court where two men are on trial for attempted murder for the drive-by shooting in September last year.

Three young women were peppered with shotgun pellets whilst standing outside a venue in Frederick Street where a 19th birthday party was being held on September 27 around 11pm.

Shaun Andrews and DeShaun White, both 23, are charged with attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The gunshot victim was the first witness to give evidence in the trial and spoke to the jury behind a curtain so her alleged shooters could not see her. Her friends and members of her family packed the public gallery to support her as she relived the horrific attack which she remains scarred from.

The woman, who was 17 at the time, told the jury she and two friends had left the birthday party at Jack's Cafe to get some air outside.
