New interim chief people officer appointed to lead at Black Country Healthcare trust

A new leader for supporting people has been appointed at the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Kerry Smith has been appointed as Interim Chief People Officer and joins the Trust from North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, where she has been Interim Chief People Officer for some time. 

Marsha Foster, Chief Executive Officer at Black Country Healthcare said: “I am delighted to welcome Kerry as our Interim Chief People Officer. 

"She brings a great deal of experience and insight, and I’m confident she’ll make a valuable contribution as we continue to focus on supporting our people and strengthening our culture.

Ms Smith said: “I am excited to be joining Black Country Healthcare, and I look forward to working with colleagues across the organisation to continue building a positive and inclusive workplace culture.” 

Ms Smith replaces Ashi Williams who is leaving the Trust at the end of July to take up the position of Chief People Officer over South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust and George Elliot Hospital NHS Trust.
