Lichfield man, 44, charged after heroin, crack cocaine and cash found

A man has been charged after officers found crack cocaine, heroin and cash during a stop-and-search.

Damien Millis, 44 and of Lichfield, has been charged with two counts of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply (crack cocaine and heroin).

Officers from the Staffordshire Police's major and organised crime team carried out a stop-and-search on Stafford Road, Lichfield, on Monday afternoon (June 9).

Millis was due to appear at the Newcastle-under-Lyme Magistrates Court on Tuesday (June 10).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "As part of Operation Target, we’re continuing to work proactively on the streets to investigate high-harm offences. 

"This has resulted in more than 1,000 people being arrested on suspicion of drug and weapon offences since the crackdown was launched in May 2023."
