The Lotto numbers came up in the draw on May 24 from a ticket bought in Birmingham. Lottery players are being urged to check and double-check their tickets for the chance to claim this life-changing prize.

The unknown person matched the five main numbers and the Bonus Ball. The winning numbers were 9, 12, 13, 26, 38, 40 and the Bonus Ball was the number 4. The lucky ticket-holder has until November 20 to claim their prize.

The National Lottery is operated by Allwyn and it's senior winners advisor Andy Carter, says: “It’s time to search through handbags, purses, trouser pockets and the car – a ticket is yet to be found which is worth £1m.

"Someone who bought a ticket in Birmingham is now a millionaire and we are desperate to unite this lucky player with their winnings.

“Do you live or work in the area, do you have family and friends there who you were visiting or were you just passing through? We really want to find this mystery ticket-holder and pay out their life-changing prize.”

Anyone not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who believes they have a genuine claim can still make a claim in writing within 30 days of the draw.

National Lottery players with the correct ticket have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.

In 2022, it took five months for the Wolverhampton winner of £7.44 million to finally come forward after Wolves legend Steve Bull took part in a major appeal.
