Dennis Hall, Cameo Drive, Amblecote, dates back to the 1770s and was converted into 19 flats in 2003. The Country House was built for the industrialist Thomas Hill. The building is red brick, laid in Flemish bond with ashlar dressings and a hipped, slate roof. It has three storeys and a basement.

The owner of Flat 15 applied to make several alterations to the internal layout of the apartment. An internal stud wall, a dining room wall and door and the repositioning of several plug sockets was included in the consent to alter the listed building.

However, the owner Mr Spencer has already carried out the internal structural changes he wanted to complete, and therefore is asking for retrospective permission.

The owners of Dennis Hall, the Dennis Hall Management Company, approved the changes to flat 15.

In a letter to Mr Spencer, they said: "Please take this letter as formal consent for the proposed alterations, please proceed at your convenience."

However, as Denis Hall is a listed building, Dudley Council need to give permission as well. Local residents can comment on the application by visiting www.dudley.gov.uk and using the application code P25/0571.
