The Express & Star's Black Country Heroes awards aim to find those who work so hard, often as volunteers, to make a real difference in our communities.

The awards, launched last year to mark our 150th anniversary, proved so popular we are repeating it at a glittering ceremony being held at Wolves' Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton on September 25.

The second annual Black Country Heroes awards will again celebrate the remarkable individuals who make this region special. From dedicated volunteers to teachers and countless others.

The event and associated campaign provide an ideal networking and brand promotion opportunity. Last year more than 150 guests attended the event which attracted almost 750,000 readers across our digital and print platforms, along with 318,000 social media followers.

There will be promotional activities before and after the awards ceremony to benefit sponsors. We are now looking for businesses to register as category sponsors for the awards.
