Lewis Crawford laced up his running shoes and set off from Molineux Stadium on May 26, marking the start of a five day journey to Whitby.

The bricklayer, from Fallings Park, pounded the pavement for a total of 201.8 miles to reach his finish line, which took him almost 63 hours to complete.

Dad-of-two Lewis completed the challenge to raise money and awareness for charity Mind, after previously overcoming his own struggles with mental health.

The 32-year-old said: "Over the years I have done quite a lot of charity work. I did the London Marathon for one of my friends who had a stroke and runs for Acorns Children's Hospice.

"Throughout my life I have unfortunately suffered with my own mental health and I have done a lot of other charity things but it was always for someone else. This is the first one I did that was massively important to me."

Lewis said he was motivated to carry on during the challenge to prove "the strength of the mind".

He explained: "I think sometimes when it comes to mental health it is really difficult to understand.

"I really wanted to emphasise the strength of the mind and what it can do when it wants to do something positive.

"I thought if I give up the whole message I'm trying to get out there doesn't work. I didn't ever feel like stopping - it was never an option for me."

Lewis has so far raised almost £2,600 of his £5,000 goal. People can donate to the cause by visiting gofundme.com/f/wolves-to-whitby-200-miles-for-mind
