Headteacher Matthew Draper said comments are often made about how confident youngsters at Mayfield Preparatory School are.

One of the ways youngsters at the Sutton Road school are able to build on their confidence is by presenting to an audience, whether this be in lessons, class assemblies or at school events.

Mr Draper said: "The school's motto 'Believe it, achieve it' sums up that the children are encouraged to believe that anything is possible to have the determination and perseverance to achieve anything they would like to."

Mayfield teaches pupils aged between two and 11 and is an independent school, meaning it is able to teach beyond the national curriculum.
