Smethwick community to get new zebra crossing at scene of crashes
Pedestrians will be seeing a new zebra crossing at an island where several crashes have happened.
Sandwell Council is proposing to install a new pedestrian crossing in Londonderry Road, in Londonderry, Smethwick, at the busy roundabout junction with Queen’s Road and Warley Road.
In October last year two women were hurt in a two-car collision at the junction near Sandwell Aquatic Centre.
For more details of the plans including a copy of the drawing showing the proposed location of the new crossing, email the highways team via ronan_lad@sandwell.gov.uk.
Representations including comments and objections should be put in writing, stating your grounds, via post to: Mervyn Bartlett, Interim Assistant Director, Highway Services, Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE before March 19.
