Woman, 21, charged with shoplifting offences in Sandwell

A woman has been charged following a number of shoplifting offences in the Black Country.

Officers arrested Grace Freeth in connection with the thefts following enquiries by the Tipton neighbourhood police team. 

The 21-year-old, who is of no fixed address, was charged on Wednesday with three shop thefts in West Bromwich and Tipton throughout the month of November.

She is due to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court on Thursday. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We fully understand the impact and frustration of shop thefts on businesses and we're carrying out ongoing activity to identify and detain suspects."
