Two crews, from Bridgnorth and Telford Central, were scrambled to the Veolia facility, at Faraday Drive on the Stourbridge Road Industrial Estate, at 12.28pm on Thursday, along with an operations officer.

They found an incident involving capacitors and batteries in the conveyor belt of a shredder.

It took about half an hour for firefighters using a thermal imaging camera to deal with it. The incident was over by 1.02pm.
