Rail travellers in Stourbridge and KIdderminster are set to face delays after a number of cancellations

West Midlands Railway has announced it will be temporarily withdrawing some services from the Snow Hill Lines, which serve Stourbridge and Kidderminster, due to an increase in Covid-19 cases.

The network has said that since the start of the pandemic, one-in-three staff have been unable to work due to the virus and the number of rising cases has also disrupted recruitment and training of new train crew.

More Covid-19 coverage:

More than 15 services on the Worcester/Stourbridge Junction line have been cancelled on Saturday due to the lack of train crews, from 3pm onwards.

Travellers have been advised to check the National Rail online journey planner before they travel.
