Two people were taken to hospital following the crash at the junction of Newtown Lane and Cradley Road, near the Tesco Extra shop, at 7.30am today.

The road was blocked off as paramedics treated a driver and passenger, who had managed to free themselves from their damaged vehicle.

They were taken to Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital but are not believed to have been seriously injured.

Firefighters called to the scene cleared the road of fuel spillage and made the vehicles safe.

Haden Hill firefighters tweeted from the scene: "Considering the damage luckily only minor injuries to the driver were sustained. Always wear your seatbelt..."
