Suspect charged over robbery of pensioner in Great Wyrley

A man has been charged with allegedly robbing an elderly woman in Great Wyrley.

Callum Ball, aged 20, of no fixed address, has been charged by Staffordshire Police after the incident outside Spar on Wardles Lane on April 17.

It was reported that an 86-year-old woman was pushed aside as she went to post a letter. Her car was taken but later recovered in Walsall.

Ball has also been charged with two counts of criminal damage, assault ABH, burglary and assault by beating following an incident in Rugeley on March 23.

He has been remanded in custody until May 20 to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court.

A 13-year-old boy has been released on bail until May 16.
