The Express & Star is launching its Baby and Toddler of the Year competition

Then your child could be crowned a winner in our Baby and Toddler of the Year contest.

Entry to our new competition is completely free and is open to parents/guardians within the circulation area of the Express & Star with a child aged 5 or under.

Our official photographer will be at intu Merry Hill between Monday, July 23 and Sunday, July 29 and at the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton between Monday, July 30 and Saturday, August 4.

We will publish all pictures in a supplement in the Express & Star and they will appear on the newspaper website.

Parents will be able to bring along their children to be photographed by our professional photographer with vast experience of capturing the perfect smile.

Parents will then be invited back to choose the perfect picture to appear in the supplement or one will be chosen if they are unable to return to choose one.

The children will be split into four age categories; 0-9 months, 10-18 months, 19-35 months and 3-5 years.

We will be inviting our readers to vote for their favourite picture and decide who they think is the area’s cutest baby or toddler.

There will be a winner in each age bracket and the one with the most votes will be deemed the overall winner.

The youngster in each category with the most votes will win £500 and the overall winner will boost their prize with an extra £250.

To vote , simply choose your favourite from all the entries.

The photographs will also be featured in the Express & Star on Wednesday, September 12.

Once you’ve picked your winner, cut out the special vote tokens which will be printed each day in the Express & Star newspaper until Saturday, October 13. The deadline for returning tokens is Friday, October 19.

Along with your vote tokens, complete a Voting Tokens Return Form. You can either download and print the voting form from the newspaper website, or use the form available in the Express & Star newspaper every Saturday during the competition.

When completing the form make sure to include the child’s name, age category and unique voting code number.

Readers may vote as many times as they like using newspaper vote tokens.

If you wish, you can send in your vote tokens in batches or all together in one envelope after the last tokens appear in the newspaper but you must include a Voting Tokens Return Form each time you send your tokens in. Vote tokens sent in without a form will not be counted. Good luck!
