Charred walls, twisted metal and a hole in the roof can be seen in the dramatic photographs of the aftermath of the fire in Hainge Road, Tividale.

Wooden and cardboard materials inside had turned to ash and firefighters had to navigate between black and deformed metal shelves to ensure the site was safe and the fire was out.

See footage from inside the factory:

Five crews tackled the fire yesterday evening from around 6.30pm with one hose-reel jet and four breathing apparatus.

The crews from Oldbury, Smethwick, Handsworth, Tipton and Billesley were at the scene for around four hours.

No one was injured and it is not known what caused the fire.

A West Midlands Fire spokesperson added: "We got the call at 6.38pm Wednesday evening to Hainge Road in Tividale.

"We went five crews to the scene and approximately 23 firefighters.

"It was a fire in a large factory building and it looks like it was one building but two units.

"Six firefighters with breathing apparatus used one main water jet and one hose reel jet.

"To clear the excess smoke we had positive pressure ventilation fans and the gas was isolated.

"The cause is unknown but it has been deemed as accidental. We left the scene at 10.30pm."

Meanwhile a tanning shop was ruined when a sunbed caught fire in Coseley last night.

Five fire crews battled the blaze and managed to stop it from spreading to neighbouring businesses.
