The students from the City of Wolverhampton College are in the midst of preparing for their annual dance show.

Youngsters are set to amaze audiences when they bring their latest show 'EXPER I MENT' to life next week.

Lecturer Tanya Long said: "This is quite a different dance show from what many people are used to, and promises to be an entertaining evening of high energy pieces.

"It's a very strip backed and atmospheric performance, breaking down conventional forms of dance."

Students set to perform are currently on the college's UAL Diploma and Extended Diploma in Performing Arts course.

Their 'physical and expressive' show will see them perform against a backdrop of live music and percussion.

Student Lisa Hopkins will be taking to the stage for the performances next Tuesday and Wednesday.

The 17-year-old said: "I'm very excited to be performing and I'm really enjoying being part of such as talented group."

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are £3 from the college's Paget Road reception.

College staff are also on the search for new recruits for their performing arts courses starting in September and are currently holding auditions.
