Jaskaran Kang: Man and boy due in court charged with murder

A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy will appear at crown court today charged with murdering a man.

Reggie Salmon, from Stourbridge Road, in Dudley, and a teenager - who cannot be named for legal reasons - have been charged with with murdering Jaskaran Kang, 24.

Mr Kang was found fatally stabbed at a flat in Stourbridge Road, Dudley, on January 6.

Both Salmon and the teenager will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

On Monday they appeared at Dudley Magistrates' Court and remain in custody.

Emergency services were called to the flat, above the Mini Mart, in Stourbridge Road, at around 2.30am last Saturday and Mr Kang was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police set up a cordon around the scene as investigations got under way.

Bouquets of flowers and a heart-shaped balloon were left outside the shop.

In a heartfelt tribute, the 24-year-old's family said: “He was a lovely and caring hard-working father, son and brother who has been taken too soon.

"Everyone loved him and the family and community are in shock and we just want justice.”

Police are continuing to appeal for help from the public.
