Three teenagers were arrested on Tuesday after a foot chase by police officers, following the incident in Blackheath High Street.

They have since been released while inquiries continue.

Police say the perpetrators threatened to stab the victim.

Officers found ‘a large kitchen knife’ on one of the teenagers, a spokesman said.

A member of public had intervened before police arrived.

Officers were able to retrieve the phone. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
