Four West Bromwich men charged with kidnapping woman and three children

Four West Bromwich men have been charged with kidnap following an incident involving a woman and three children.

The incident happened in Oswestry, Shropshire, at about 4pm on Friday.

Two members of the public, both men, suffered minor injuries during the incident.

The woman and three children were not believed to be hurt.

Zahoor Hussain, 38, of Whitehall Road, West Bromwich, has been charged with four counts of kidnap.

Muserat Khan, 36, of Greets Green Road, West Bromwich, has been charged with four counts of kidnap and one count of assault.

Mohammed Anser Khan, 31, of Whitehall Road, West Bromwich, has been charged with four counts of kidnap and one count of assault.

Ateek Khan, 27, of Oak Road, West Bromwich, has been charged with four counts of kidnap.

All four men have been remanded in custody and will all appear before Telford Magistrates Court on Monday.

Today Detective Inspector Jason Everett said: "I would like to thank the public for their help so far and I would like to reassure the community that this is an isolated incident.

"Enquiries are still ongoing but I would encourage anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please contact us on 101."
