The i-motion gym will open in January after receiving planning permission from the borough council.

People will be able to join the new facility for as little as £9.99 a month.

It will spread across three floors in the centre with the main flood taking up the old JJB store while the ground floor unit will be near Store Twenty One.

There will be around 60 exercise classes a week available delivered by an instructor.

Former rugby player Gareth Evans owns the firm which opened up its first successful business in Rotherham in 2013 and has since scooped county awards for best budget-gym in Staffordshire.
