Residents have reported problems of rowdiness and disorder around Bargate Drive and Leicester Street Park in Whitmore Reans.

Officers are now using new powers called Designated Public Place Order (DPPO) to seize alcohol.

Sergeant Kevin Whitehouse of the St Peters Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: "Extra patrols are being carried out by officers on the neighbourhood team around the areas. We have been enforcing our DPPO powers and confiscating alcohol off people causing anti-social behaviour. We will continue to talk to local businesses and the local community. We do however, still require anyone who witnesses ASB in these areas to please report it to the police "
