The man, in his 40s, was knocked off his bike at the Scott Green Island in Dudley at 4.15pm.

He was treated by ambulance crews and taken to Russells Hall Hospital with back injuries but they are not thought to be serious.

The crash blocked Duncan Edwards Way and caused congestion around the area.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Steve Parry said: "We were called to Scotts Green Island at 4.15pm following a collision between a car and motorcyclist. At the time another ambulance was passing and we treated a man believed to be in his 40s and he was taken to Russells Hall Hospital with minor back pain."
