Dudley | News | Published:

A man was seriously injured today after a car crashed into a row of parked vehicles.

Emergency services were called to Highland Road, Dudley just before 5.20am after a Ford Fiesta overturned on its roof.

The man, who was believed to be the driver and in his 20s, was treated at the scene by the ambulance service for serious injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

It is believed two further passengers from the car were also injured. Four cars were damaged in the smash.

The junctions between Limepit Lane and Elmfield View were closed while emergency services were at the scene.

Traffic queues began to build up on Highland Road, which is part of a main route from Sedgley and Dudley and along the diversion which took drivers via The Broadway.

A police officer at the scene said investigations into the cause of the crash were taking place.
