No-confidence vote by Staffordshire University students over move out of Stafford
Hundreds of students have backed a vote of no confidence in university bosses after they decided to pull out of a town – but not enough took part for the issue to be taken further.
Staffordshire University will leave its Beaconside campus in Stafford in favour of Stoke-on-Trent by 2016.
But only 368 votes were for the motion out of 17,000 students eligible to vote – and 500 were needed for the union to act.
