Fire crews tackle van fire in Walsall

Fire crews tackled a van fire on the M6 northbound slip road at Walsall this afternoon.

Firefighters from Walsall and Wolverhampton were called to junction 10 of the motorway at just after 1.40pm.

One lane on the slip road was closed while crews extinguished the flames.

Highways Agency spokesman Sam Harris said: "It hasn't caused any tailbacks on the motorway because it was on the slip road."
