In Wednesfield a driver crashed into Fellas takeaway in Rookery Street late last night.

He was taken to hospital along with two passengers.

West Midlands Ambulance service also attended a van that had crashed through a garden wall in Queen's Road in Tipton.

Four people were treated by paramedics.

While in a third incident another driver crashed into a lamppost in Waterfall Lane in Cradley Heath.

Firefighter Jamie Law, of Cradley Heath fire station, said the car knocked over a lamp post before demolishing a post box at 4am today.

"The car landed on top of the post box, which was quite a sight," said Mr Law.

Nobody was injured or trapped in the accident, which happened after the car went over a canal bridge.

A car was also destroyed after crashing into a bus stop in Bloxwich last night.
