Delays for M6 drivers as lorry catches fire

Drivers faced delays of more than 30 minutes on the M6 in Staffordshire this morning after a lorry caught fire.

Two lanes were closed northbound between junctions 13 for Stafford south and 14 for Stafford north after the lorry caught fire at around 7.40am.

One lane remained closed by 8.15am while the lorry was recovered and debris cleared.

At around 10.20am, the Highways Agency announced that all lanes had re-opened and all delays were cleared.
