Cheeky West Bromwich banner taunts Wolves fans over relegation

A cheeky banner taunting Wolves fans for being relegated twice in successive seasons has been draped from a bridge a major route through the Black Country.

The banner was spotted by Express & Star readers driving along the A41 Expressway in West Bromwich yesterday, just one day after Albion were hammered 0-4 away to Norwich City.

It reads: 'Dingles HA. HA DIV. 3'.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are preparing for life in the third tier of English football just two years after playing in the Premier League. They are also without a manager after axing Dean Saunders.

West Bromwich Albion Supporters Club chairman John Homer today said he thought the banner was a bit over the top.

"I would probably let it lie," he said.

"It's a shame the rivalry will not continue on the field. I also think it's inevitable you are going to get some banter like that. Someone feels it necessary to rub it in.

"If we were in the same position, I'm sure some of their fans would do the same thing to us."
