Nando's and Costa to open new Walsall outlets

Walsall | News | Published:

Two big high street names have unveiled plans to open new outlets in Walsall town centre, creating dozens of jobs.

Restaurant chain Nando's is planning to open a restaurant at the Crown Wharf Shopping Park.

Coffee giant Costa is looking to open a second shop in the town. It has earmarked part of the former Clinton cards premises in the Saddlers

Shopping Centre for a £200,000 investment, creating four full-time and six part-time jobs.

Both companies have submitted planning applications to the council.

Nando's wants to transform the former Pizza Hut restaurant at the Crown Wharf, which closed in November.

A council spokesman said it would be a "shot in the arm" for the town.
