£7m Dudley College centre plan is unveiled

Dudley | News | Published:

Dudley College today unveiled plans for a £7million site housing a centre for advanced manufacturing and engineering technology.

It will be built in Priory Road, opposite the recently opened sixth form centre, Dudley Sixth.

The site will offer courses for more than 1,200 students. The college had previously planned to build a technology centre on the Broadway campus.

But it will now build a centre for construction cour-ses on the site instead. The new plans, announced today, also mean the college will not resubmit its bid for fun-ding to open a University Technical College. Bosses said they said the new sche-me called Dudley Advance "better suits local needs".

The curriculum of the centre will be developed and delivered in close partnership with Aston University and local employers.
